Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ProcessIt ("the App"), a mobile application available on the iOS App Store, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

Description of Service

ProcessIt is a mobile app (iOS App Store) that provides support for CPTSD survivors in therapy who need help between sessions. The App provides:

  • Process flashbacks in real-time when therapy isn't available
  • Track what happened between sessions so you know what to tell your therapist
  • Interrupt flashbacks with 60-90 second regulation exercises
  • See what triggers your freeze response and understand your patterns
  • Cloud sync and offline support
  • Crisis resources and daily reminders

ProcessIt is a trauma recovery resource, not medical treatment or therapy. This mobile app is designed to provide support for CPTSD survivors in therapy who need help processing flashbacks and regulating their nervous system between sessions. It is not therapy, medical advice, or a replacement for professional mental health care.

This tool is designed to complement professional support by providing supplemental support between therapy sessions. Users are encouraged to seek professional mental health care when possible.

Age Requirements

You must be at least 16 years old to use ProcessIt. If you are under 18, you must have parental consent to use the App.

Subscription and Payment

7-Day Free Trial

New users receive a 7-day free trial with full access to all features. You will not be charged during the trial period.

Subscription Pricing

After the trial ends, your subscription automatically renews at $11.99/month unless you cancel before the trial period ends.

Auto-Renewal

Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing period (monthly) unless you cancel. Your subscription continues until you cancel.

Managing Your Subscription

You can view, change, or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID settings:

  • iOS: Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → ProcessIt
  • You can cancel your subscription at any time, and you will continue to have access to all features until the end of your current billing period
  • If you cancel during the free trial, you will not be charged

Refunds

All purchases are processed through Apple's In-App Purchase system. Refund requests must be made through Apple. We do not process refunds directly. See Apple's refund policy at https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204084

One Trial Per User

The free trial is available once per user account. If you previously used a trial, you will be charged immediately upon subscribing.

Payment Processing

All payments are processed by Apple through In-App Purchase. We do not directly handle your payment information. Your subscription is managed through your Apple ID and Apple's payment system.

Emergency Situations

If you are experiencing a mental health emergency or having thoughts of self-harm or suicide, please:

  • Call 911 (US) or your local emergency number
  • Contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (US): 988
  • Go to your nearest emergency room
  • Contact your mental health provider immediately

ProcessIt is not equipped to handle crisis situations and should not be used as emergency support.

User Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account
  • You agree not to use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • You agree not to attempt to reverse engineer or hack the App
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
  • You must be at least 16 years old to use the App
  • You acknowledge that ProcessIt is a trauma recovery resource and not medical treatment
  • You are responsible for your own mental health and wellbeing
  • You agree to seek professional help if you experience distressing symptoms

Limitation of Liability

ProcessIt is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to emotional distress or mental health outcomes.

By using this App, you acknowledge that:

  • ProcessIt is a trauma recovery resource, not medical treatment
  • We do not guarantee specific outcomes or improvements
  • We are not responsible for any decisions you make based on the support content
  • You use this tool at your own risk and discretion

Data Collection and Privacy

  • We collect personal information including email, name, and chat conversations
  • All data is encrypted and stored securely in AWS US East 1 region
  • Chat messages are automatically deleted after 365 days
  • You can delete your account and all associated data at any time
  • We do not share your data with third parties except as required for service operation

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Apple In-App Purchase: All payments are processed by Apple through their In-App Purchase system. We do not directly handle your payment information.
  • RevenueCat: We use RevenueCat to manage your subscription and communicate with Apple's In-App Purchase system. RevenueCat processes your Apple ID and subscription status.
  • Expo: We use Expo services for push notification delivery. Expo processes device tokens to send notifications to your device.
  • Claude AI (Anthropic): For trauma-informed support conversation processing
  • AWS: For data storage and infrastructure
  • Speech-to-Text Services: For converting voice input to text (voice output not currently available)

Intellectual Property

  • The App and its content are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws
  • You may not copy, modify, or distribute the App without permission
  • User-generated content remains your property

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time for violations of these terms or for any other reason at our discretion.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. For significant changes, we may also notify you through the mobile app or via email.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved in accordance with US law.

Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

Entire Agreement

These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and ProcessIt regarding your use of the App.

App Store Terms

If you downloaded ProcessIt from the Apple App Store, you also agree to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement. In case of conflict between these Terms and Apple's terms, Apple's terms will govern with respect to App Store-related matters.
